DC Bocce League 3rd Annual Tubing Trip
Saturday, August 7th 2010

Grab some friends, a few frosty beverages, and your bathing suit – the DC Bocce League is going tubing! Join us on Saturday, August 7th* for an all-day trip out to Harper’s Ferry, WV where we’ll spend the day lazy tubing down the Shenandoah River. Both bocce and non-bocce players are welcome! If you would like to be placed on our waiting list, please contact mail@dcbocce.com. The waitlist is first come, first serve.

Trip cost of $65 includes:

Round-trip transportation
Tube rental with Butts Tubes
4 hours of lazy river floating on the Shenandoah

The bus will depart from the Pour House at 10:00am and will return to the Pour House at around 6:00pm.

The bar opens at 9:00am for registration and you must arrive by 9:30am at the latest to check-in.

After the trip, there will be Peroni happy hour specials at the Pour House to keep the party going.

To ensure everyone has a safe and fun trip, we require the following:

Participants must be at least 21 years of age (ID required upon check-in)
Participants must know how to swim
A signed consent form and liability waiver

And now a few tips for the novice tuber:

Water shoes or old sneakers are required – NO FLIP FLOPS on the river
Make sure to pack a lunch, plenty of water, and sun screen
A rope is a good way to stay tied to your friends on the river so we highly recommend taking one with you
Zip-lock bags are also useful for things like cell phones and keys
Bring your own cooler and rent a cooler tube to float your drinks at your side
