Hope everyone is enjoying the season so far! View the current scores, standings and photos to stay up-to-speed on all things bocce. There is still plenty of time to improve your standings and, remember, EVERYONE MAKES PLAYOFFS!

Tuesday, May 15 marks Week 4 of the regular season. Please show up to Mosaic Park at least 5 minutes prior to your game time so we can start and end all games on time. Don't forget to check in with a black shirt and return your score sheets to them, too. View the schedule to see when you play. After your game join us at our sponsor bar, Union Jack's, for bear pong, great food and beer specials and for a chance to win gift certificates to the bar. See you there!

Week 5 = Olympics Week!
Every season in the DC Bocce League, Week 5 is "Flair Week." Arlington has decided to give this week more of a theme by making it "80's Week" or "Beach Week" in past seasons. This season, in honor of the upcoming Summer Olympics in London, Week 5 is OLYMPICS WEEK. Come dressed as your favorite sports team, country (TEAM AMERICAAAAA!), go Greek in togas... whatever you want! Medals... I mean...prizes... will be rewarded to the top three teams:

• Gold Medal (1st): $100 gift card to Rustico
• Silver Medal (2nd): $50 gift card to Jimmy John's
• Bronze Medal (3rd): $25 gift card to Union Jack's

End of Season Tournament/Party – June 23
Save the date for the league-wide End of Season Tournament/Party at Yards Park on June 23 in DC. The event will be an all day bocce tournament with food, beer, and live music. Don't miss out... see you there!

Peroni Ticket Contest Prize – Drink Up!
Each season we reward teams for drinking our sponsor beers, Peroni and Blue Moon. Buy a pitcher of one of those beers, and you will get a ticket on which you write your team name. Place the ticket in the league's bucket for a chance to win weekly gift certificates to the Union Jack's. At the end of season, we count up all the tickets, and the top four teams in the league (across all divisions) that drink the most pitchers of Peroni and Blue Moon (aka have the most tickets) this season will win a private party at Top Golf in Alexandria!  This prize includes the following:
    • Round-trip transportation to and from DC to Top Golf, with bus stocked full of beer
    • 3 hours of golf in your own private bay
    • 3 hours of unlimited food, wine, and beer

It's any team's prize at this point... cheers!

Bar Specials and Sponsors
Following the games, we will make the short walk over to Union Jack's, in the Ballston Mall, where we will enjoy food and drink specials. During League nights, members will enjoy half priced selected pizzas, $.50 wings and refreshing $3 pints or $10 pitchers of Peroni and Blue Moon. Cheers!

Mosaic Park (544 N. Pollard St)
Via Metro: The field is a short walk from either Ballston or Virginia Square Metro stations on the Orange Line, behind the Gold's Gym in Ballston. Visit www.wmata.com for Metro information.
Driving: Off street parking is available BUT limited. We recommend metroing or walking to the park and walking the short distance over to Front Page.

Tag It!
This season, we are posting all league photos to Facebook albums, which allows for interactive commenting and now TAGGING! Anyone in the league has the ability to tag friends, teammates, etc., so please check out our photos from this season and let the Facebook connecting begin!

Charity
At the end of each season, winning teams from each division are awarded a cash prize to donate to a charity of their choice. We have donated to many local, national and international charities. Things to Know on Game Days
Each Tuesday, make sure to check in with a black shirt at the park, where you will be paired with the team you are playing against. In case of inclement weather, make-up games will most likely take place on Thursday. Check out our rules for more details. Standings and pictures will be updated a few days after your games are done. Please be sure to observe park rules on game days.
