Week 5 - The Bocce Is Stayin Alive!

Bar Specials and Sponsors
During all game days, we receive food and drink specials at the Looking Glass Lounge. (Note: you must be wearing your bocce shirt to receive the specials.)
All day Saturday: $10 Pitchers of Peroni and Blue Moon
$3 pints until 4 p.m.
12-4: Brunch menu and half-priced nachos
4-5: half-priced nachos
5-close: half-priced nachos (Peroni/Blue Moon pints switch to $4)
Peroni Contest!
The weekly Peroni Contest continues this season! For each pitcher you drink, you’ll receive a ticket to write your team name on and place in the bocce bucket at the bars, both upstairs and downstairs. Every week at 4 p.m., we’ll draw gift certificates for Looking Glass, so drink up!
Things to Know on Game Nights
Each Saturday afternoon, check in with a Blackshirt (Lauren, Brianne, Sam or Andrew) at the field, where you will be paired with the team you are playing against. You will be responsible for setting up your court space at a size of approximately 5x25 paces.
Games will be played to 16 points or one hour, whichever comes first.
When you are done with your game, please pack up your bocce set and hand in your scoresheet to any Blackshirt, and then head to the bar for the bocce specials!
In the event of a weather-related cancelation, make-up games will most likely take place in a double-header the following Saturday.
Check out our rules for more details. Standings and pictures will be updated a few days after your games are done. Please be sure to observe all bar rules on game nights.

Via Metro: The park and bar are a short walk from the Petworth Metro station. Visit www.wmata.com for Metro information.
Driving: Street parking is available BUT limited. We recommend Metroing, bussing, or walking to the bar.

This season, we are posting all league photos to Facebook albums, which allows for interactive commenting and now TAGGING! Anyone in the league has the ability to tag friends, teammates, etc., so please check out our photos from this season and let the Facebook connecting begin!
Charity
At the end of each season, winning teams from each division are awarded a cash prize to donate to a charity of their choice. We have donated to many local, national and international charities.
