Welcome to the Spring 2013 season of DC Bocce. Check here regularly for updates on the division, game info, weekly specials and other happenings. Get excited for a big fall season of bocce at Vinoteca!
Bar Specials and Sponsors
During all game nights we receive food and drink specials at the back patio bar of Vinoteca Wine Bar & Bistro. League members will enjoy burgers, grilled sandwiches and appetizer specials from the back bar, PLUS refreshing $4 pints of Peroni! Cheers!
Peroni Contest!
The weekly Peroni Contest continues this season! For each pint you drink, you’ll receive a ticket to write your team name on and place in the bocce jar. Every week we’ll announce a winner for a Vinoteca gift certificate, so drink up!
Things to Know on Game Nights
Each night, make sure to check in with a Black Shirt (either Bill or Jim) near the bocce court, where you will be paired with the team you are playing against. Games will be played to 14 points or called by a Black Shirt 45 minutes after your designated start time to ensure all teams get equitable playing time.
When you are done with your game report your score to a Black Shirt, and of course continue to enjoy a the bocce specials at the bar. In the event of a cancelation, make-up games will most likely take place on Wednesday nights. Check out our rules for more details. Standings and pictures will be updated a few days after your games are done. Please be sure to observe all bar rules on game nights.

Game Location and Directions
Vinoteca Wine Bar & Bistro (1940 11th St NW)
Via Metro: The bar is a short walk from either exit of the U Street Metro station. Visit www.wmata.com for Metro information.
Driving: Street parking is available BUT limited. We recommend Metroing, bussing, or walking to the bar.

This season, we are posting all league photos to Facebook albums, which allows for interactive commenting and now TAGGING! Anyone in the league has the ability to tag friends, teammates, etc., so please check out our photos from this season and let the Facebook connecting begin!
Charity
At the end of each season, winning teams from each division are awarded a cash prize to donate to a charity of their choice. We have donated to many local, national and international charities.
